About Me
Daniel Silcott is an ambitious and versatile student pursuing a Bachelor's in Graphic Design with a concentration in Web Design from Southern New Hampshire University. Initially inspired by the harmonious interplay of art and technology, they have discovered a profound love for the intricacies of both disciplines. Their academic trajectory has been marked by a series of notable achievements, including making the Honor Roll eight times and the Dean's List twice.
A member of the "Coders United" club, Daniels' extracurricular involvement reflects their commitment to staying at the forefront of their field. They cite their Digital Graphic Design for Web class and Typography class as pivotal moments in their education, where they were both challenged and delighted by the nuances of design.
The construction of their first website stands out as the most challenging yet rewarding project in their academic career thus far. This experience, coupled with their specialization in Web Design, has led to an exciting foray into the world of freelance design, including the creation of a book cover for Mandy Toms' "Forced Identity" and providing editing services for the book.
Outside of the classroom, Daniel's educational journey has seeped into their personal life, fueling a relentless curiosity and a penchant for taking on new projects. They revel in the learning process, often finding themselves lost in the thrill of discovery. This passion has culminated in a multifaceted skill set that transcends the boundaries of their major, allowing them to weave together a career that is as dynamic and intriguing as the person they are.
My Work
Daniel Silcott has assisted in creating a brand identity for a self published writer. In addition to creating a Brand identity, Daniel also created and crafted her book cover. He's also in the process of editing her book entitled "Forced Identity."
Daniel Silcott assisted in creating a logo/brand identity for a small business selling local bees called "Boo Bee's Honey." The creator wanted attractive logo with a bit of embedded humor.
Daniel created a basic logo for a small business selling trading cards. They wanted a very simple logo with basic colors. Their logo is simple and easy to read.
Daniel created the book cover for a book called "Devils Sacrifice." He utilized InDesign and AI to create a creepy, bone chilling cover for this equally creepy and bone chilling book. He utilized typography standards amd grid layouts when creating this.
Daniel created this prototype for a fictional website called Purrfectly Peppy, Pet Vet Hospital. I also created a version that is a Mobile version. The logo was provided and only the layout was made by Daniel.
Daniel created a layout for an article for Native American Heritage Month. He utilized typography concepts and design concepts to create a clean, well crafted article.
Daniel created a flyer for the "Community Cup" grand opening. they wanted a simple flyer using both vector and stock images to convey the atmosophere of the coffee shop. I utilized a mixture of design principles to create their flyer. I used colors revolving around coffee.
Daniel created a graphic image to help bring a quote to life and give the words some meaning.
Daniel created a carwash flyer for a Highschool to help fundraise. They wanted a flyer to attract people to come have their cars washed.
